Exclamation ready to scream!! AARRRGGGHHH

I am convinced the system is flawed. To my knowledge child support is supposed to be support for the child, but I am begining to believe it is a system designed with too many loopholes for deadbeat parents to weasel their way out of supporting a child they helped to create!!!! I am not sure if I have the strength to keep fighting this never ending child support battle. The judgement is in the system, the payments are supposed to come directly out of his wages, HOWEVER, as easy as the process seems, I have had difficulties with this process and its causing me to be extremely stressed out. Initially we were receiving payments. Then another judgement hit the system for his other children and all hell broke loose. Since that dreadful day my baby has not been getting her payments in full or at all. He had an enforcement conference on the 6th for missed payments (which I understand are not entirely his fault), he payed money toward the back support that was due but since that date I have not received any payments. I called the courthouse to figure out what is going on, and they simply told me the system read his payment as an entire month's worth of support so that is why I haven't received any payments. WTF!!! It seems like every month I'm running down to the courthouse to fix this, to fight for my child, and I feel like even though I am hitting the ground running, all my effort to make sure he takes care of her is pointless.

I feel your pain. But keep fighting, in the end it will be worth it. At least he is paying, and it is the courthouse messing it up!!! I can tell you I have not received a child support payment in a year. Before that piddly payment, it had been about 2 years.

Child support is a nightmare! I am hoping to be able to say I can support my kids without any help from him!

Stick to it, if you need it, you need it and your kids do too.

So sorry you are having to deal with it over and over again. Keep on it, though. Eventually it will be straightened out, as much as possible, but you are right that countless glitches can occur. Best defense is to live within your means without it as much as possible, sorry to say. Hugs.
