I'm recently divorced with a 22 month old son. I've been working full-time every since we split up and things were working okay until my Ex decided to go back to school full-time and move far away. Now I'm really doubtful I'll get any child support (or very little anyway) and I know I can't live my current lifestyle without it. I'm already living pretty meager and I struggle month to month and get help from family. But, after reading some of these posts, I'm wondering if I stayed home to be with my son and received assistance for the time being, I would be at about the same level financically. If I could even take a year or two off from work to be with my son and focus on school more, that would be amazing. Not only would I get more quality time with my son, I'd get my schooling done faster and I could focus on landing a better job. I'm stuck in a low-paying job and the hours are difficult on me especially with trying to match it up with the daycare.

My question is, where do I go to find out if I'd qualify? How do you do this?

Thank you in advance!

To all of the single parents out there in work at home land!!!

I am really wanting to work from home so that I can be with my son. I know there...

To all of the single parents out there in work at home land!!!

I am really wanting to work from home so that I can be with my son. I know there are alot of threads on here with all kinds of information but I'm hoping that you can help me with some current information that I can use to hopefully get the ball rolling to work from home.

I am open to the idea of starting my own business. I have ALOT of office skills experience (typing, etc) I am open to just about anything. I am desperate to stay at home with Maxwell. Our days/schedule is so long now, it takes alot out of us. I want to change that so we can have more time together doing the things we love rather than rushing around to get everything accomplished (homework, supper, bath, etc.)

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!!! Thanks!!! :)
